What is Tanning?

Tanning is the process of exposing skin to ultraviolet (UV) light to produce pigment changes in the skin. tanning may be accomplished by using either artificial sources of UV light or sunlight. Tanning booths that emit UV light are commonly found in tanning salons, and many people also tan outdoors using sunlight. tanning can have both positive and negative effects on health. Some people believe that a tan makes them look more attractive, while others enjoy the feeling of warmth that comes from being in the sun.

Tanning is the process of exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun or tanning beds, which causes the skin to darken. People tan for various reasons, including to improve the appearance of their skin, to reduce the risk of skin cancer, and to mask skin imperfections. Some research has shown that tanning can have some benefits, such as reducing the risk of developing vitamin D deficiency and improving the appearance of acne.
